He began his career as a health and wellness consultant, a foundation that shaped his path. After earning his doctorate, he transitioned to a professional counselor at a university counseling center, directly supporting individuals and groups.
For two decades, Doug shared his knowledge by teaching psychology at community colleges before moving into higher education administration. In these leadership roles, he honed his servant leadership skills, always prioritizing the well-being of staff, faculty, and students, helping them find balance and satisfaction in both work and life.
As he approached his own retirement, Doug's passion led him to become a Certified Professional Retirement Coach and an Associate Certified Coach. Now, he's dedicated to empowering others to discover their desires and fulfill their dreams in this exciting new chapter.
While 40 years in higher education shaped Doug's professional life, it's the rich tapestry of his family life that he treasures most. His home, a vibrant hub of activity, is nestled in the Colorado mountains, shared with his wife, three children, and several beloved animals.
